THE WAKE-UP CALL
Being so heavy, life became a chore. “It was very tiring to be so fat,” he says. “Every day was exhausting.” When he came across some articles on obesity-related diseases, Chin Tzong took that as a sign and resolved to do something about his weight.
He scaled back on the portions, and also swopped bad food for good grub. He started each day with hearty salads, and packed lunches like salad with chicken or fish. He also didn’t eat out as much anymore.
After seven months, Ching Tzong looks completely different. “One day, I was waiting for my wife and she walked right past me because she didn’t recognise me! This really happened. Today, I’m inspiring others like my colleagues with my transformation, and I share with them my maintenance tips. Looking back at my old photographs, I only now realise how heavy I was. I don’t ever want to go back to 120kg.”
