In a spectacular city park. Along the island’s edge. Beside a meandering waterway. These running routes in Singapore will take your breath away. (Try not to pant too hard.)
Location: Gardens By the Bay
Why: Sunbathed “supertrees” towering over wooden boardwalks that skirt mirror-like ponds offer a cinematic backdrop for a city centre run.
Running on the wooden boardwalk alongside reflecting pools make for a peaceful yet dramatic spectacle as the late afternoon light hits the Gardens’ supertrees. “I usually run in the evenings – a run here is absolutely lovely,” says Fay Hokulani, a personal trainer, fitness blogger and ambassador for Maxinutrition and Adidas. “The structures, in particular, are cool and give you the feeling of being in the city – but surrounded by nature at the same time.”
