I have always been on short-termed diet and workout plans in the past, just to look better for an event (ie wedding photoshoot, etc), but easily gained back all the weight lost again, or even more later. It was frustrating to see the scales bouncing up and down all the time in the past. All it took, however was meeting my wife’s aunties in Korea, and seeing all of them still fit and healthy even as they age made me realise that being healthy is never a short termed goal, but a lifestyle commitment. Never a crash diet, but adjusting our relationship to food. Never a 90-day intense workout plan, but a simple daily practice. It’s been about 8 months now and I am still a work-in-progress, which should be this way till the end. #MHfitspiration @menshealth_sg

I have been fat all my life… Only getting fit that one time after bmt, but gain back all those weight I have lost during the time of working and studying. Losing all hope of becoming healthy, fit and good looking… But enough is enough. ENOUGH of being tired always, being laughed at, and being sick all the time. I promise to myself I can do it and a live a healthy lifestyle, and from this motivation I lost 20kg, 87kg to 67kg in 4 months… And now aiming to go further… Nonetheless, if you wish to lose weight please ask me how? I can help. Instead of giving inspiration post, let me, show to those who really needs it on how to do it. #mhfitspiration @menshealth_sg

#Repost @estongsanidad_ocr with @get_repost ・・・ #transformationtuesday Result doesn’t come out in one night. It takes time, patience and consistency in work. You gotta love what you are doin to keep you motivated to strive for result day by day. From GIN to GYM. I was really being careless to my body way back until Obstacles Course Races came across my path. I was invited to try this race and I was instantly enamored-I couldn’t stand doing nothing now. Every inch of mud and every obstacle was a pure joy and I only wanted more. I had discovered the purpose of my fitness goals: I wanted to be an OCR athlete. I started to change my lifestyle, slowly. Routines turned out to trainings which made my little world bigger by meeting different people who share the same interest. They’ve been part of this amazing journey and still helping me along the way. Sharing this to inspire even just a single person out there😉. Once you start, you’ll be hooked to it. It’s a never ending journey. Things will just get better and better. #mhfitspiration #menshealth #menshealtsg #sgfitspo #sgfitfam #sgfitness #fitspiration #fitnessmotivation #transformationtuesday @menshealth_sg

I used to be always chubby in my teenage years and i was (many times) told that it’s GENETIC 😂 so after i have gone thru pregnancy and got even “bigger” and unhealthy, i was just like 🤷🏽♀️couldn’t be bothered much cuz in my mind 💭 i blamed the GENETIC LOL . But guess what, throughout the years, i got so sick of the unhealthy lifestyle that one day i decided to set a goal and to prove to the rest that i could change for the better, healthier me physically and emotionally. I am doing this so as to set good lifestyle example for kiddoz too and 🙈voila here i am, still grinding for the better me 😃 cuz fitness is for LIFE!! 👊🏽💢 . . ~~ a GOAL without a PLAN is just a WISH~~ so plan for ur goals and stick to it, it takes time ⏳so never rush and never give up!! It’s all about dedication and persistence, U will definitely be there one day 🙌🏽😉 . . #mhfitspiration #bodybuilding #transformationtuesday #supplements #nutrition #fitlife #sgfitness #fitfam #weightlifting #fitnessaddict #training #motivation #fitfreak #diet #trainhard #gains #pump #healthy #instafitness #leanmeal #cleaneating #macros #shredded #bulking #aesthetic #mealprep #gym #fitness #physique
Fitspiration #6 for this week: @spartanwannabe
I’ve never been athletic. I was never in a school team or excel in sports when I was young. Ordinary would be a word to describe me. I decided to get out of my sedentary lifestyle and join a gym 3 years ago. I got bored after a while and wondered what was beyond the gym. That was when I started taking part in Spartan Race. I’m extremely poor with my co-ordination and it took me a mighty long time just to learn how to climb a rope or scale the wall. The more technical and difficult obstacles were a distant dream. But I refused to give up. I knew I might take a longer time but I will still get there eventually. Fast forward to 2018 and I’m blessed to have won 7 trophies last year and have gotten a 1st for Elite Master in the Spartan Race Asia Pacific Championship Series. Yet there is still so much more room for improvement and I am inspired by the strong women around me. I’ll continue to train hard and push beyond my limits. #DecideCommitSucceed #menshealth #teamsuperfit #mhfitspiration @menshealth_sg
Fitspiration #7 for this week: @spiez01
When I joined Austcham Paddle Club, I was likely the lightest guy in the team weighing about 56kg; and compared to a slew of very tall, competitive and fit teammates, it was a bit intimidating. As is the goal of every paddler, I wanted to have a place in the A-crew team and win medals. So I sought advice from our coach, teammates and colleagues for a workout regimen and diet that would help me get stronger and build muscle. I work in IT which most times means working odd days/hours, so it was challenging to keep up with dragon boat practice, land training and gym sets. But I’m blessed to be supported by my teammates/friends. We paddle and do land training/gym together every week, and we push each other towards our goals. I’m happy that I’m continuing with this lifestyle and still paddle with the team. I’m now 64kg, the most fit I’ve been! Thanks Austcham for the continuous drive, encouragement and motivation! @menshealth_sg #mhfitspiration @austchampaddleclubsg
