Think you can handle Chris Hemsworth’s Thor workout? Think again.
In honor of Thor: Ragnorok’s release on DVD, Australian morning show host David Campbell decided to try out Hemsworth’s superhero workout — so he recruited the help of Luke Zocchi, Hemsworth’s longtime trainer (and former high school classmate).

Let’s just say, the results on Today Extra were pretty hilarious.
In the middle of the workout, Zocchi and Campbell continuously yelled out the film’s name and Thor’s popular battlecry, “for Asgard!”
HOW CHRIS HEMSWORTH PREPPED FOR THOR
According to Zocchi, Hemsworth ate six meals a day to bulk up for the film and opted for a vegan diet while training for the film; he managed to bulk up using proteins like beans instead of animal protein.
“It actually surprised me as well cause we’re all in this mentality of like, ‘Gotta eat animal protein,'” Zocchi said.
Zocchi highlighted veggie and bean burgers as Hemsworth’s favorite vegan dish. He also worked as Hemsworth’s chef throughout shooting Avengers: Infinity War, since the actor didn’t hire one for the film. (Looking for a decent vegan meat alternative? Look no further.)
BACK TO THAT KILLER THOR WORKOUT
The workout involved various forms of weight lifting, pull-ups, battle ropes, bear crawls, and push-ups.
By the end of it, Campbell had a hard time standing up and even talking into his microphone, completely out of breath from the intense workout he just completed. Zocchi warned him that they weren’t done yet, and they proceeded to do more push-ups before finally wrapping things up.
“Okay, there are things there I can’t unsee,” said Campbell’s co-host Sonia Kruger after watching the segment.
