Most of us love crabs but loathe the hassle of having to shell the crustaceans. Thankfully, most supermarkets now sell crabmeat, which is suitable for making salad, soup and even a roll like this one.
Crabmeat is an excellent source of high-quality protein. It also contains vitamin A, B vitamins and vitamin E as well as minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus and zinc. It is also very lean: a 100g serving only contains 1.8g of fat!
You Need: (For Filling)
4 cups crabmeat (can be replaced with minced fish meat)
2 black mushrooms (medium size) finely chopped
1 small carrot, finely chopped
1 tsp white wine (optional)
1 hard boiled egg, finely chopped
1 tsp sesame oil
You Also Need:
4 Chinese cabbage leaves, blanched to soften
You Do: 1 Mix all the ingredients for the filling evenly in a bowl. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
2 Scoop the mixed ingredients onto the softened cabbage leaves.
3 Fold securely to make a wrap.
4 Steam the cabbage wraps for 15 minutes and serve.
