Q:
How much carbs should I cut out to lose weight?

Firstly, you do not cut out carbs to lose weight. What you need to do is avoid refined carbs, like white bread and white sugar. Refined carbs increase your blood sugar levels rapidly, causing you put on weight.

For effective weight loss, start with three daily balanced meals and a healthy snack between meals. Healthy snacks include fruits, raw nuts, seeds, unsweetened yogurt and multi-grain crisps with peanut butter.

The rule of thumb for every meal is to have a larger ratio of carbs to protein. This combination gives you a steady energy source and keeps you fuller longer.
