Q:
What styling products can I use for my oily scalp ?

An oily scalp can be caused by a number of reasons: medication, stress, pollution and the overproduction of sebum. Washing your hair regularly to manage the oiliness will help, and you should use products that are designed for your condition. If you find that your scalp is not regulated enough by proper hygiene, you may want to consult a dermatologist to recommend your next course of action.

Choosing the type of styling product to use depends on the kind of hairstyle you want to achieve. Avoid heavy waxes and clays that may worsen scalp oiliness. Instead, go for “lighter” products such as gels, styling lotions or sprays.
