Running Shoe Review: Mizuno Wave Precision 11

advertisement

THEY SAY: "SmoothRide Engineered, TPU Parallel Wave provides optimal cushioning and flexibility for the neutral runner looking for a get-up-and-go daily trainer. Soft yet durable blown rubber forefoot outsole design for cushioning and flexibility."  - Mizuno

WE SAY: We almost thought we got a trail shoe when we saw the Precision 11. Besides the cool looks, it's superbly breathable, lightweight (289g) and perfect for doing speed intervals or for clocking a personal best time attempt. It's hard not to like shoes from Mizuno; they've got a good amount of cushioning, boast an ultra-quiet run (sign of a good heel-to-toe transition) and are reasonably priced. It's a good all-round shoe and probably the best we've come across so far.

Fit/Comfort: 8.5/10 — It's a comfortable fit and the breathability factor definitely helps your feet from over-heating.

Cushioning: 10/10 — There's a good amount of cushioning which is obvious even over long distances.

Stability:
7.5/10 — It is lightweight at 289g, ideal for interval sprints.

Design/Aesthetics: 10/10 — The striking yellow accent stands out without being a big eyesore. It's acceptable as leisure wear.

Overall: 9/10

Recommended Retail Price: $169

Availability: Available at Mizuno outlets.

If you've tried using the Mizuno Wave Precision 11, we'd love to find out what you think of the shoes! Write us your own review and post it in the comment box below this article.
