Q:
Sometimes my nose bleeds for no reason. Is this cause for worry?

advertisement
An occasional minor nosebleed is not a cause for concern. It’s commonly caused by the splitting of the inner lining of the nose, either due to dry weather or as a result of over-enthusiastic picking. However, if you get them frequently, consult a doctor. In addition, if you experience symptoms such as vomiting, headache, fever or loss of consciousness (together with a nosebleed that lasts longer than 10 minutes), seek medical attention immediately.
