Order the red. It packs more health benefits and fewer calories. Let’s say you usually have two drinks during dinner. Sipping two 120ml glasses of red wine will set you back by 200 calories, while draining two 355ml beers will pull in a heftier 300. And while beer contains an antioxidant called ferulic acid, there are more free-radical fighters in red wine, including resveratrol, which has been shown by studies to help prevent everything from Alzheimer’s to atherosclerosis.
