Josh Brolin Is Getting Super Buff For His Role In Deadpool 2

Thought Ryan Reynolds the only one getting ripped for Deadpool 2? Josh Brolin is here to steal the limelight.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is known for his impressive physique among Hollywood's A-list circuit. However, another notable name in the biz is not only coming to share the screen with him in the critically-acclaimed film's sequel, Deadpool 2, he's also out to outshine Reynolds in the bod department.

Indeed, Josh Brolin—who has been celebrated for his dramatic range in films like No Country for Old Men, Inherent Vice, and Milk—is gearing up to play the character of Cable in the upcoming movie, and he's not taking the easy way into the role of the muscular Marvel mutant. Recently, the actor has been posting Instagrams of himself in the gym, and the guy looks absolutely jacked.

"Quietly, the "Team" is killing it," he wrote in this caption. "It takes a small village: @justindlovato at @iambuilt, Jonathon Phillips @hbmaxmuscle, @goldsgym and some discipline. Just saw @davebautista at the gym and he said: 'What the f*ck happened to you?!'"

Brolin thanks a "totally clean" diet of "no sugar, no breads, no pastas, no drugs" for the helping him attain his newly-cut bod, and cites fish, rice, eggs, veggies, water, and coffee as his primary sources of nutrition. He ends the post with a number of hashtags, including "#wedontfuckaround" and, most notably, "#ryanreynoldsismybitch." He also used it in a photo posted on May 12.

Strong words there, Broly. No doubt Reynolds will rebut the barb with his usual wit, and hopefully any playful back-and-forth between these two will only make the action scenes in their coming film all the better.
