That’s just a myth that often circulated during National Service. Blisters are formed because the foot is either moving too much in the shoe, or the shoe is simply too tight. So shoe fit is key to preventing blisters. Invest in a good pair of socks, because they make a big difference – your feet stay dry, and you actually get more cushioning.
