What typeface is best for my resume?

One word: Helvetica. “Sans serif typefaces like Helvetica – the ones with no feet or tails on the letters – convey seriousness,” says David Earls, a graphic designer and founding editor of Typographer.org.

Another point in favour of Helvetica is that it’s very clear, says Earls, which is why it’s often used in public signs. He advises always using the same typeface for your resume, memos and e-mails to establish consistency.
