What contributes to skin ageing and what are the signs that appear?
The signs of ageing vary among men depending on their genetics, environment and lifestyle. Usually, the first signs appear as lines around the eyes, a loss of skin tone and dark spots. This could happen when a man is in his thirties or as early as his late twenties. As he hits his late thirties and beyond, deeper wrinkles start to appear on his face and skin sagging becomes more noticeable.
Anti-ageing products slow down the appearance of these signs. Some help to smoothen the skin surface by removing dead skin cells, others provide protection against ultraviolet rays. There are also products that stimulate the skin’s self-defence mechanisms and slow down the deterioration of elastin and collagen fibres. A person can start to use anti-ageing products at any age but the usual is when he is around 25.
