Q:
My job interviewer said that they were looking for someone "younger". Can I sue them for this?

Sadly, no. Currently, there are no employment laws protecting against age discrimination in Singapore. As such, neither the Government nor individuals can take any legal action against such employers.

Discrimination is generally difficult to establish, hence the Government has decided that legislation may not be the right approach for Singapore. The focus has, instead, shifted to creating and facilitating employment opportunities for older workers, training and skills upgrading, as well as efforts to change the mindset of employers towards older workers.

Well This kind of knowledge rlraey become known by common people .Thanks for pointing it out.One thing I've yet to understand is why U.S.A. citizens don't turn to their administration to ask them why they had trained and supported dictators and terrorists like the one supposed to have destroyed the WTC ???Well It's easier for someone to fight and kill the one he was told to hate than to use his brains to figure out the *real* responsible guys and realize that by his own inaction and passivity, he somehow contributed to all this mess.In this, we are all guilty Raoul Borges
