I always eat dessert, and it’s starting to show. What’s a healthier option?

Desserts are meant to satisfy the sweet tooth. Fresh fruits are the best way to round off any meal. They contain natural sugars that will not raise your blood sugar levels a lot, and come with a good amount of fibre. Gelato and sorbet are preferred over ice cream as they have a lower fat content. Nonetheless, stick to no more than two scoops, as they still contain sugar. Choose cakes and pies that are fruit-based, and avoid desserts that have cream. A dollop of the white stuff contains 100kcal and a scoop of ice cream has 150kcal. Local desserts? Stay away from coconut cream and always ask for less syrup.
