Q:
How do I motivate myself to stick to my routine?

Having clear goals like losing 5kg or dropping 30 seconds from a specific distance are quantifiable objectives that can motivate you to a greater extent – but make sure they’re achievable or you’ll end up demoralising yourself. Even better, add a time frame to your objectives. For instance, if I’m looking to improve my marathon timing by 10 minutes in six months, I’ll first target to improve my timing for a 10km distance by 2 minutes in three months, before I target a longer distance.
