Q:
Can tomatoes cause cancer?

advertisement

Although there are articles that mention this link, there needs to be scientific studies that can support this claim. It’s difficult to isolate one component from food and measure its ability to prevent (or cause) disease – the hundreds of nutrients in our diets are designed to work together. Research has backed this up, showing that antioxidants are more powerful when consumed in combinations. Don’t stop eating tomatoes because they are rich in many nutrients – but eating a variety of fruits and vegetables would be ideal.
