Q:
Can I eliminate ingrown facial hair?

advertisement

First, understand why your beard is burrowing back into your face. "If you cut too close to the follicle, the hair recedes beneath the surface," says Dr Omeed Memar, an assistant professor of dermatology at Northwestern University in the US. To achieve the right shave for your sensitive mug, use a basic dual-blade razor. The first blade catches the hair and the second cuts it, giving you a shave that's close but not too close. (Buff your stubble with a toothbrush and warm water to dislodge any existing ingrown hair.)
